National and International Affiliations

The Baltimore Ethical Society is a member of the American Ethical Union, a federation of Ethical Culture Societies based in New York City. While our primary commitment is to the mission and goals of the American Ethical Union and we rely on the Union for a variety of organizational, educational, and communications services, we are also affiliated with the American Humanist Association and identify with its goals.

We welcome humanists and free thinkers to our meetings together with all who support liberal social causes and have a strong concern for ethics and the quality of human relationships.

As a member organization of the American Ethical Union and an affiliate of the American Humanist Association, the Baltimore Ethical Society is also a member of the International Humanist and Ethical Union, an organization which includes groups from Europe, India, and Japan.
